April is a brilliant time to start sowing flower seeds. In the UK, there's still time to sow hardy annuals as well as starting off half-hardy annuals such as cosmos and strawflowers. Here's my guide on what to sow in April. Follow it and you'll have more flowers than you know what to do with this summer!

Malope (Vulcan is my favourite)
Balloon Vine (these are so cool!)
Acroclinium (sometimes called Helipterum)
Zinnia
More Cosmos (you can never have enough cosmos)
Poppies (best sown direct into soil)
Ammi majus
Cerinthe
Dill
